| We read in a number of books that the Lycian Way is one of the greatest hikes on the planet, so we took a dolmus to the end of a road, and hiked 8 km of beautiful, rocky hillside with some fellow travelers (one of whom mooned a goat - an amusing sight, but one that won't be appearing here). After convincing a child to sell us the last of his dad's beer (one of our hiking partners was an ex-pat American fluent in Turkish) and picking up an extra German hiker, we turned around and headed back, arriving in the village as the sun started to set and clouds lowered over the mountain we'd just hiked across an hour before. |
